Welcome to OMOTIC Groups, a diversified business conglomerate providing exceptional services across manufacturing, hospitality & tourism sectors, agriculture, industrial solutions, real estate, Solar energy, and strategic investments. For over 20 years, we have been driving industrial growth, innovation, and national development.
Through hospitality, tourism, mechanized farming, coffee production, commodity export, and natural resource development, OMOTIC Groups contributes to agricultural productivity, global trade, and sustainable economic growth.
OMOTIC Group is an Ethiopian-owned, founder-led group of businesses established in 2006 by Founder and President Eyassu Wossen Birhanu. Headquartered in Addis Ababa and deeply rooted in southern Ethiopia, the Group has grown over two decades into a diversified operating enterprise with activities across hospitality and tourism; agriculture, livestock and coffee; automotive engineering and manufacturing; import and export; distribution and logistics; mining; and strategic investment.
OMOTIC was not built by collecting unrelated companies. It grew one opportunity and one capability at a time.
As the Group entered new sectors, it invested in the people, assets, systems and relationships required to operate them properly. We expanded where we understood the need, where our experience could create a practical advantage and where one part of the Group could strengthen another. That approach has allowed OMOTIC to develop the ability to welcome visitors, produce goods, move products, maintain equipment, connect businesses with markets and build new ventures around emerging opportunities.
That journey can be seen throughout our portfolio.
Through Paradise Lodge in Arbaminch and Turmi and Arbaminch Ethiopia Tour Operation, we introduce visitors to the landscapes, cultures and hospitality of southern Ethiopia. Through our farms, cattle-fattening operations and Habesha Coffee, we invest in productive land, local knowledge and agricultural value creation. Through Monaco Automotive Engineering and OMOTIC Steels, we build practical engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Through our import-export, beverage distribution and logistics operations, we connect suppliers, businesses and customers across Ethiopia and beyond. Our mining and strategic investment activities carry the same entrepreneurial spirit into new areas of opportunity.
Although our businesses operate in different industries, they are united by the way OMOTIC works.
We are builders and operators — not passive owners. We remain close to the work, take responsibility for what we deliver and invest with a long-term view. Our strength comes from direct operating experience, resilient teams, trusted relationships and the ability to combine knowledge and capabilities across the Group.
For OMOTIC, growth is not measured only by the number of businesses in our portfolio. It is measured by the people we develop, the employment and market access we create, the standards we raise, the partnerships we preserve and the lasting value our businesses bring to the communities around them.
Our ambition is not simply to become larger. It is to build a strong and enduring Ethiopian institution — one capable of competing across Africa and internationally while remaining grounded in the country and communities that shaped it. We want every new investment to serve a real purpose, strengthen the Group and create value that can continue across generations.
OMOTIC's story is still being written. What began in 2006 as an Ethiopian entrepreneurial vision has become a connected group of operating businesses. We continue to move forward with the same belief that has guided our journey from the beginning:
Opportunity becomes meaningful when it is built into something real, trusted and lasting.
A farm needs trucks. Trucks need a workshop. Buyers need someone at the port. We kept building until the chain closed.
The same crew that plants the suckers loads the pallets. Nothing about the fruit is handed to a stranger before it reaches the port.
Bunches cut to buyer grade and carried out of the row on the shoulder.
Washed, graded, weighed and cartoned on site, then sealed.
Reefer loaded at the packhouse door and driven by our own fleet.
Cleared, shipped and delivered with the temperature log attached.
Land, certification and route access — the three things a serious agricultural exporter is judged on.
Hover a destination to see what moves along that corridor. Green routes run on cold chain through Djibouti.
Buyer enquiries, farm visits, investor material and supplier offers all reach the same desk in Addis Ababa.
